Please complete and submit Free Trial Form. WHAT DO I NEED TO USE YOUR SERVICE? All you need is a computer and an Internet connection to work with us. You can i) Record Dictations in our toll-free telephone dictation machine, ii) Use your personal digital recorder and upload to our FTP iii) Give us login detail to collect voice files from your server. HOW CAN I TRY YOUR SERVICE? Then you can start giving trial dictations. AM I RESTRICTED BY HIPAA TO SEND WORK OFF-SHORE? HIPAA does not in any clause or circumstance prohibits outsourcing of work to off-shore locations. As a staunch believer in investing in it’s customers we provide FREE digital recorders to our clients who do not wish to use toll free dictation. However, a minimum of approximately 30 min/day/doctor (750 min. /month) of dictation is required. HOW MUCH DATA CAN YOU HANDLE IMMEDIATELY? As a HR policy at Burrak - Data Solutions, we always keep additional capacity of minimum of 3000 lines per day. This enables us to cater to new accounts of 300 minutes per day dictation, immediately. In case the volume of data is greater than 250 minutes per day, please send an e-mail to corporate@burrak.com. We will determine ramp-up time required for your account and get back to you within two (2) business days. WHAT FORMATS OF VOICE FILES DO YOU HANDLE? Currently we only handle “wav” and “DSS” format. If you use a different codec/format, please send an email at corporate@burrak.com Our technical staff would get back to you with a solution. WHAT TURNAROUND TIMES DO YOU OFFER? The turnaround time that YOU want is what we guarantee to meet. Generally we offer three turnaround times to meet your needs of 12 hrs, 24 hrs and backlog data (generally greater than 96 hours). The turn around time can be tailored depending upon the volume of work and need of the client. WHAT ARE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE HOURS? Customer Service is available round the clock on internet. Send your e-mail to ddm@burrak.com. The data center is manned from Monday 5am GMT till Saturday 7 pm GMT. WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE? Payment can be made by check, bank draft or by wire transfer. Billing is every fortnight. HOW MUCH DOES THE SERVICE COST? ARE THERE ANY OTHER FEES? Our charges vary based on a number of factors like nature of line, volume, TAT, channel of sending dictations and receiving transcriptions. It ranges from 7-14 cents per line. There are no other fees. WHAT CONSTITUTES A LINE? We follow the definition devised by the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists (AAMT) for a line, which is used world wide as a standard. We count 65 characters as a line, where a character is defined as any letter, number or symbol necessary for the final appearance and content of a document, including the space bar. To understand this fully, take a transcribed document and open it in MS-Word 97 or greater, then click Tools, select Word Count and note the value shown next to “Characters (with spaces)” and divide this by 65. Then you will get the line count of that particular document. CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE MY OFFICE REPORT FORMAT? Yes, we customize reports to your current reporting formats. HOW DO YOU ASSURE QUALITY? You can select one or more of these options • as an attachment to e-mail • through ftp site • by fax HOW LONG DO YOU STORE MY TRANSCRIPTION? We store our client's transcription for at least 6 months to provide them with additional backup and support for their records. If requested, we will maintain them longer. Our active clients can request retransmission of specific documents without any extra charge. WHAT ABOUT THE SECURITY/PRIVACY OF PATIENT INFORMATION? We are extremely concerned with the privacy of medical records. We adhere to all HIPPA and AAMT guidelines and recommendations. All employees sign Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements (CNDA). Every printed document that contains client/patient information is properly disposed of under the shift in-charge supervision. DO YOU HANDLE PROJECT BASED TRANSCRIPTION? At Burrak we are eager to do business with anyone and everyone regardless of the business size and type. OCCASIONAL AND SMALL VOLUMES? If you are having in-house transcription facilities and do not want to disturb it, we can work with your staff to handle your overflow. There are many times that your staff cannot handle all of your work, due to vacations, illnesses or sudden increases in your patient load. We can have all of your templates set up on our system and you can call in when you need to. DO YOU SIGN A BUSINESS ASSOCIATE AGREEMENT (BAA) WITH YOUR CLIENTS? In compliance with HIPAA regulations, we emphasize to sign a comprehensive business associate agreement as well as a service agreement.
